Some companies will even offer to create a customised load cells specific to your requirements to suit the more challenging problems. Using the patented capacitive technology Eilersen also offers its expertise to customers with special requests where the technology can often be the solution to challenging applications and at the same time reduce installation and maintenance costs. As the sensor in Eilersen load cells does not come into contact with the load cell body, the Eilersen load cells are much more stable and less inclined to be affected by heavy overloads and sideloads. The simple nature of this measurement principle allows a very simple installation with a single wire cable for transmitting the measurements and status codes which again simplifies the electrical installation of the load cells.

In addition to higher overload tolerances, the Eilersen digital load cells also provide a higher resolution which can overcome problems associated with standard analog load cells. The capacitive measurement principle has a change in capacitance of 10% compared to the standard foil strain gage with a resistance change of only 0.1%. With this much increased signal, the elastic element does not need to be strained as much which further increases the accuracy and shockproof capabilities of the load cell allowing it to be utilised in otherwise unsuitable environments.
