Why you should use Eilersen load cells for conveyer belts

The simple mechanical and electrical installation of the Eilersen digital load cells is a big advantage for load cells integrated in conveyer belts. The Eilersen load cells contain no moving parts and the non-contact capacitive measurement principle results in simpler installation and maintenance of your weighing system as the load cells are installed without mechanical overload protection.

The Eilersen load cells and weighing terminals are OIML approved for use in legal for trade applications. The Eilersen digital load cells are supplied in OIML (up to C6 MI10) and ATEX certified (zone 1, 2, 21, 22) versions. Also, the Eilersen digital load cells feature true plug-and-play installation and with all load cells being pre-calibrated to transmit the load directly in grams.

The weighing electronics converts the digital output from the load cells to a wide range of the most commonly used industrial interfaces including Profibus DP, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, 4-20mA, 0-10 VDC, RS485 and RS232.

The Eilersen digital load cells are equipped with a standard single wire coaxial cable (RG-58) and the cable length has no influence on the calibration. The load cells can be equipped with cable lengths of up to 100 meters and the load cell cable can be changed on-site if necessary.

In addition to our standard across the board 3 year warranty on all of our load cells, the capacitive measuring principle provides you with extremely fast readings – 1000+ readings per second.

The capacitive measurement principle has a change in capacitance of 10% compared to the standard foil strain gage with a resistance change of only 0.1%. With such a higher sensitivity, the elastic element does not need to be strained as much which allows for very stiff load cells with optimal characteristic for dynamic weighing applications.
