What is the 5024 Indicator?
The 5024G is a complete, stand-alone weighing indicator with a local display, intelligent setup features, advanced diagnostics, and integrated weighing functionality. It stores calibration and zero values internally, and enables the possibility of customized software/filters. The 5024G can operate independently of a PLC, making it suitable for certified weighing applications (legal-for-trade), installations where a local display is required, and applications where built-in dosing, totals or afterflow-correction handling is required.
What is a PLC weighing block?
A PLC weighing block is designed to integrate directly into an automation system. It provides basic weighing functionality through the PLC, but it does not include a local display. Calibration and zero values are stored in the PLC, while some functionality, such as linearization, zero tracking, unbalanced detection, dosing, totals and afterflow-correction handling, is limited or unavailable. PLC blocks typically rely on the PLC’s communication cycle, meaning slower response times for digital I/O.
